I have space to work on this now but I’m finding it quite tricky.
As I discussed earlier, I am interested in the way the film represents the Sirens (indirectly) from Greek Mythology.
This morning I put a filter on over the edited version of the film and transformed the women so they seemed less like seductresses and more like strange birdlike creatures. Emma wrote some music for the initial frames where the women are sort of waking up on the rocks but I placed it beside frames of their faces instead because I liked the discordant reading it provides.
I am not sure of the whole eleven minutes but here it is.
I wonder if I can figure out how to make something like this but interactive using Processing. I feel that’s precisely what I should be doing. But lord knows how and then introducing the music is another factor to think about which perhaps throws rather too much into the mix. I guess I shall be asking others for advice…
