Anyone can contribute to the (SJF) Field Scribbles Lexicon. Please provide your suggested entry using this form. If you have not read About the Lexicon & an invitation to contribute, please check it out before pressing ‘Submit’.

Comments are turned off on Lexicon entries, but you are welcome to use this form to add to an existing entry, expand upon it, or suggest an alternative reading.

I reserve the right to make minor grammatical and spelling corrections. Authors will have an opportunity to proof before publishing. I will not alter voice, phraseology or style.

Submission is not a guarantee of inclusion. Not every entry will necessarily be published, and decisions are about fit with the Lexicon’s aims. That said, the intention is to include as many voices as possible.

Contributions are voluntary and unpaid. Where an author has given permission to be named, accepted entries will be credited accordingly. Please note, anonymous entries will be considered with caution.

If you wish to add an image, please email it to info@sarahjanefield.co.uk and title your email Lexicon submission. (Your entry may indeed be entirely pictorial, if that suits your intention).

Please add your definition here. Remember, this is not meant to be a straightforward dictionary entry. Modern media does that more than adequately. What is more helpful for the purposes of this Lexicon is a personal account of the usage or a response to its place in the world.
