As I mentioned before I had a bit of a calamity take place with external drives, including backups. I have got most work that means anything to me but there is some recent stuff missing. I am busy redoing a handful of montage work as I have been thinking about putting them together under the heading Collage on my website.
I will discuss them and how far I need to refine them at a hangout or TV meet when I can.
Here is a new one and one redone so far. (I also need to revisit the typology and rescan and then redo but that is ok as I was not satisfied with it.) Neither one is cropped down yet.
Elsewhere, my son tells me I need to change my name for my ‘weird art’ since no one will trust Sarah-Jane Field to make such stuff. I mentioned I might change it to a guy’s name regardless of the sort of work I’m making. He told me in all seriousness that female artists were respected nowadays, for example, he said, Barabra Kruger, Cindy Sherman, Rei Kawakubo. Then he ran out of women he knew (although he did have the good grace to add my name at the end – he must want something.)
