I dreamt about this image, which appears in the LAMELLA:// project, the other night.

LAMELLA:// AI image prompted by Zabriskie’s Obstetrics for Nurses (1960)

Some words cut from my final assessment:

The word lamella is a depository, a container, into which multiple perhaps seemingly unrelated or opposing subjects/objects can be dropped and the internal, often opposing, conflicts that may arise between them are given space to exist, if necessary, all at once. LAMELLA:// is also a starting point, from which, and out of which, something greater than the sum of its parts may or may not emerge for a moment before remerging and perhaps emerging again, always transformed one way or another.
