I posted these a couple of days ago. They are unusual for me in terms of what I’ve been doing recently as they are not moving nor do they have sound. But they are dealing with the same theme – the malleability of data, connected to older technology bu resuing found images which are obviously old. The bottom one received more ‘likes’ which probably tells me it’s less challenging than the one above, with its garish colours and crudely cut out little girl. I think both work in their way, but I want to keep exploring the one with the colours – the fact the pasted girl comes out of the frame and also links to another image I took which includes a Russian doll seem important.
Continued theme – lots of versions of self, girl looking out, and as in the image at the top, isolated and separated from the group.

As I mentioned to Andrea I may continue using this title, The Invention of Childhood and develop it as a project. It pertains to construction, which I am looking at in terms of language, code.
